  1. Opening Prayer
  2. Introductions: Tell us what your organization has going on
    1. Rainbow House Standing Events
    2. Children’s Virtue Classes resume in September
    3. Wesley Chapel’s “Missions Through Music” August 26th, 4PM start 
    4. Good news at Wesley Chapel: renovations are starting next week and the parsonage sold!
    5. Historic Lincoln School Alumni Foundation Golf Tournament September 9th – need volunteers
    6. Please be sure to donate hygiene products to the Edwardsville Library if able! Travel sized items.
    7. PFLAG is fundraising through MOD pizza. You need to have the flier to participate in the sale.
  3. Board of Director’s Report – Actions taken and Financial Report, etc
    1. Made $100 donation to Latino Round table, Center for Spirituality and Sustainability, and in 10 $10 gift cards for Library
    2. Submitted site plan for garden sign
    3. Donna Wooline – President for Center of Racial Harmony: Committed to attending Unity Fest and there will be another Peace Festival this year! We should have a table at this event. October 28th.
    4. Ordered Checks
    5. Confirmed Nuevo Azteca will be playing during set-up
    6. Attended Latino Round Table; They will be buying materials to table events due to our donation, and are now able to be a booth at Unity Fest.
    7. Met with the Volunteer Coordinator at the SIUE honor’s program who said there would be some students able to volunteer
    8. We are looking to advertise on KDHX radio via website and radio
    9. We have a commitment for a Native American prayer for Unity Fest 2024
    10. SIUE Welcome Events at the REC Plex (Black Student Welcome at the Quad): August 28th: Latin Welcome 4-6 // August 29th: AAPI Welcome 4-6 // August 30: Rainbow Student Welcome 4-6  // August 31st: Black Student Welcome 3-6
    11. Phillips 66 donated $2,500 directly to the bank account
    12. Current Account Balance: $14,266.37
    13. The Walk for Alopecia is from 4:30-6:30PM on September 30th, and we’ve been asked to cross promote the event with Unity Fest
    14. Riverbend Family Ministries reached out to partner and have been given a booth registration form
  4. Old Business – 
    1. Calendar Updates and Reminders- Market, Wesley Concert, Free Mason breakfast, etc.
      1. August 19th: Table at the Goshen Market
        1. Roger, Violet, and Amy may be able to help with the table
      2. August 26th: Wesley Chapel Concert
      3. August 26th: Big Gay Bingo
      4. September 16th: Freemason Breakfast 9AM ~ 11AM
        1. Need some volunteers
    2. Unity Fest booths/sponsor updates (August 30th deadline)
      1. Currently have 9 booths who have handed in forms, but many who will be turning in forms
    3. Unity Fest Line-Up and Schedule Updates
      1. Last performer spot has been filled by Samantha Clemmons and her full band
      2. Last speaker spot has been filled by Riz Khan
    4. Unity Fest Budget – Let’s spend this money 😊
      1. Food budget – Pick an additional food truck and set amounts for smaller contributors
        1. Heard back from Sugarfire, Ray’s Soul Touching Tacos, and Cedar Mediterranean 
          1. Sugarfire: Feeds 85 people
          2. Ray’s Tacos: 150 Entrees
          3. Cedar: 150 Entree + side
          4. Jesse motions having both Ray’s Tacos and Cedar Mediterranean, Amy and Roger second having both Rays and Cedar Mediterranean: Unanimous Ayes, none opposed
      2. Miscellaneous – Table/Chairs, Art Supplies, Giveaways, etc.
        1. Filled in some rough budget for things like port-a-potties, art supplies, tents, etc. 
      3. Advertising budget – Signage, Shirts, Riverbender and social media
        1. We have an official flier!

      1. Volunteer sign ups for upcoming events – Market, Wesley Concert, SIUE Welcome Events, Free Mason breakfast, etc. Handled in Board of Director’s Report

      5. T-Shirts; Different for Volunteers? Design says 2023 or leave it evergreen?
        1. Shirts will be for both volunteers and participants
